Well! If I am going to continue this, and I have decided to do my best, I am going to have to re asses my scheduling! Since I have started, I haven't done any painting! I have to go to work, do a certain amount of housework, and errands, I also have other regular necessary elements to my day and week.
I quit work several years ago thinking I could spend more time with my art. WOW!! Once my friends and church members found out I 'wasn't working' I was the only one who had time to do all their favorite jobs! I had to go back to work to get more time!
I think our whole life is a balancing act. Not just women, maybe we just think more about it than men, we all have to schedule: work, family, spiritual life, leisure, the trick is to prioritize, and make room for all the essentials. As we grow older, the priorities change and the elements of the day, or schedule change.
As our families grow, there is less time needed for, say, child care, but maybe more for exercise class, crafts, or whatever our passion is! I think it is necessary to have a passion, be it, art & music, like mine, or whatever we can and like to do. I have a client who loves to do crossword puzzles. Wonderful! She is involved, and having fun.
Well, after considering my quandary, I think I will take two or three evenings a week, and devote them to my painting. Look out drop in company!!!

My mother use to love doing crossword puzzles, Joanne. Everyday she'd get the Windsor Star, and soon after flipping thru it, she'd grab her pencil with eraser on the end of it and puzzle away. Life's a puzzle sometimes too. I hope you find time to do more painting. It's good to have a great pastime!
