Ah Friday, My First Week!

One whole week! So far so good!

Today, work was good. I saw three clients, and all were doing okay. I was able to help one lady do some organization of all her 'stuff', actually, in her case only some of her 'stuff'. It seems that when we get older, it is very hard to give up possessions. In some cases, when people have to move into smaller homes, or apartments, it is hard to make such decisions. Hence, I go to some very crowded places!

"Oh, so-and-so gave me this, it is precious. That belonged to my husband/daughter/mother." All I can do is to just help them find places to put their 'stuff', shut my mouth, and most of all, listen to the stories. After all, my time is coming! With God's grace, I will live as long as my clients.

I have so much fun listening to the stories, the trip across the Atlantic from England during the First World War, escape from Germany during the Second World War, depression stories, so many lives, and wonderful stories! Maybe I should be paying them for my further education!

I live in a very historical part of Windsor, Ontario, known as Olde Sandwich Towne. In this place, originally, there were the First Nations, then, the French, English, and finally, American slaves escaped here from the south. In the twentieth century, Olde Sandwich welcomed people from all over Europe, and many other continents. I love learning more about our rich history, and participate in our local celebration every September. Many of the buildings in this area also have historical significance. Maybe more about that another day!

In the meantime, Scary, the cat is officially depressed, and made herself busy, eating my hair, and pulling it. My girlfriend's cat sits in her lap, quietly, and sleeps. Ours likes to eat and pull my hair after I wash it! Is that called "personality plus"??

Well, see you on Monday!

Phoebe

Phoebe, yes, that's definitely called personality plus! And of course, every cat know this! That's why as I said in a previous post, they usually get to do what they want. And if they don't, they wait until their owner leaves home!
